Electric Vehicle Traction Motor Bearings - Simulations of Electro Mechanical Contacts

Bearings used in electric motors undergo combined electrical and mechanical loading which makes them susceptible to premature failure. Electrical loading causes increased localized temperatures due to joule heating. Temperature rise is predicted using numerical analysis.

Sustainable Materials for High Performance Applications - Natural Fibre Composites

The mechanical properties of natural coir fiber are characterized, and its compatibility with polymers is tested. An analysis is conducted on the surface topography, mechanical attributes, and tribological behavior of Coir Fiber Reinforced Polymer Composites.

Engineering the Surfaces of Natural Fibres for Value Added Applications

This research is integral to the design and development of advanced composite materials based on natural fibers. The aim is to characterize the mechanical and tribological properties of natural fibers, particularly coir, under various controlled conditions. This will facilitate the prediction of the performance of these advanced composites in their respective applications.
